Forex Trading Day 5

Staying on course, still the same set of spreads, they must be using some form of Algorithm to execute these trades simultaneously.

er, losses i mean those losing days compare to the winning days, not individual trades, they are quite irralavent.

Yes, I like it too, but it's sometimes too good to be true, looking so perfect. That's why I put in only a small amount, just on the cautious side.

i suspect they have to trade in a very cum and orderly market. any volatility will put them in a bigger hole. but that does not mean they will get wipe out.

those drawdown % is there for a reason.

personally, after my 2011 losses, i don't like to have this kind of drawdown. it takes me almost 3 years to recovered haha. #$&$%#!

but for this account, if the win lost ration stay as it is, you will still be ahead in the long run despite having occasionally drawdown limit being hit.

there is time lapes between trades, so human algo i guess.

you can sequential order executons for all accounts under management, meaning, all accounts are having the same executions, so as the p&L.

Yes, was told they trade in a calm and orderly market, there will be no trade during figure nights or trade executed only after the market digested the news. It's one of the rule for their strategy.

I prefer such trading strategy, slow and steady instead of big swings for the account. I am more risk adverse now compared to my younger days. My biggest loss was 20 times the capital outlay here in one day and asking myself, " What Happened?", couldn't sleep for 3 nights.

ya, its like crossing the road at 3am in the morning haha, can close eye while walking.

me too, very risk adverse now, i tweet my system so that my drawdown is so small that like an ant crawling on my back, don't feel anything. the set back is ofcos limited upside.

i think its a better way of trading and patiently waiting for the big one to come while eating peanuts for survival.

Fat & coconut,

Interesting trades over the last 5 days.

Of all the timing windows, this firm seem to specialise in this 17:00 to 18:45 window.

Calm and orderly indeed!

even the duration of these trades are quite consistent, lasting about half to 1 hour.

one thing i like about them is they fully utilise the margin while keeping their risk very low. that increases their win/loss ratio at optimium! how i wish i can do it too.

every time you drive your BMW M3, you use all the 400 horse power that is putting out from the engine, travel at 200 km/hour!

ofcos you can only do it in the wee hour, 4am in the morning! and that is still very dangerous.

coconut said...

you better hope these guys are professional driver or otherwise your M3 will have to be scrape very soon.

Fat88Trader said...

Hahaha, I like the way you put it.

I am a risk taker my whole life, no risk no gain. Like a friend used to say during Chinese New Year gambling session when he is the Banker, "Put Money Take Money" But of course who will be able take the money, that's the question?

Hope? Yes, definitely hope so.

Risk? Yes, definitely there.

i'm a system guy, so as these traders, i can see many similarity and also differences.

what is consistent is our trading activities. day in and day out none stop. we prefer to be in the driver seat, lots of fun.

these guys prefer the maserati, yes very nice, but i prefer the M5. they can only drive in wee hour but my 4 door seddan, (yes is a sedan with a V10 engine haha) i can drive my family around in any weather and anytime and still race with them in the wee hour....

coconut said...

hey! who ever in charge, don't you think its time to close some road at wee hour for racing?!

whats the point of just promoting F1, can see but cannot touch!

coconut,

Love your cars analogy!

Compared to you guys, I am more like parasite pedestrian.

Squat on the sidewalk most of the time. When I see many cars moving in the same direction, I'll quickly hail a taxi and scream: "Follow those cars!"

LOL!

Fat88Trader said...

Hahaha, I am also hitching a ride after losing my license to drive fast cars due to old age. Still love the thrill in the passenger seat. Will slap the driver if he is about to dose off.

i'm a car guy, also a golf guy, but look at the number of gold courses as compare to race track, er 15 thereabout vs zero!

may i suggest a location for night racing...

pulau ubin...

coconut said...

i will still want to drive myself even if i'm...

blind!

die die also must drive!

coconut said...

fat you didn't lost your license la!

you only forgot how to open the car door and also to start the engine. now its all keyless one!

coconut said...

smol, i thought you are driving your own "car"?

just don't race with those guy who are how-lian like me, stay slow while you drive.

Singapore Man of Leisure said...

coconut,

I no car; so take taxi. Running after cars make me sound like dog... LOL!

I tell the taxi where to go, so its still my own trade.

FAT has switched to being chauffeured ;)

Don't buy Rolls Royce hor! That kind of car looks funny if we drive ourselves...

Fat88Trader said...

Oh yeah, now being chauffeured around and enjoying the thrill at the same time.
